1968: Led by the Fearsome Foursome, the Rams set a record for the fewest yards allowed in a 14 game season, as the Rams post an impressive 10-3-1 season. However, the Rams would finish second in the Coastal Division to the 13-1 Baltimore Colts.
1975: Led by Jack Youngblood the Rams allow the second fewest points in NFL history during a 14-game season. The strong defense paves the way to a third straight NFC West title with a 12-2 record. In the Divisional Playoffs the Rams defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 35-23 at the Coliseum. A week later the Rams would lose 37-7 to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game.
