1969: Led by Quarterback Roman Gabriel who is the unanimous choice as NFL's Most Valuable Player, the Rams win their second Coastal Division Title in three years with an 11-3 record. However the Rams would fall in the Western Conference Championship game 23-20 to the Vikings in Minnesota.
1980: After losing their first two games, the Rams rebound and go on to post an 11-5 record as Vince Ferragamo and Cullen Bryant bring the offense to life. Jack Youngblood leads the league in sacks with 16. However, it is not enough for another NFC West title, and the Rams are forced to settle for a Wild Card spot. In the Wild Card round the Rams lose to the Cowboys in Dallas.

2000: Under new coach Mike Martz the Rams did not miss a beat winning their first six games scoring 37 or more points in each game. The Rams would win only three of their next nine games despite strong performances from Offensive Player of the Year Marshall Faulk, and back up Quarterback Trent Green, and Kurt Warner when he returned form his broken finger. The Rams entered the final week of the season with a 9-6 record needing a win in New Orleans against the Saints just to get the final playoff spot. The Rams would rise to the occasion beating the Saints 26-21, setting up a rematch one week later in New Orleans. In the Wild Card game the Rams fell 31-28.
2004: The Rams would start the season off with a win over the Arizona Cardinals. At times they were brilliant such as a comeback road win over the Seattle Seahawks in overtime as Marc Bulger connected with Shaun McDonald on a 52-yard Touchdown pass for the 33-27 win. As the season wore on the Rams would rely on Rookie Steven Jackson to take the bulk of the carries. The Rams entered their final two games of the season needing wins to make the playoffs beginning with a solid 20-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Rams as they did much of the season needed to rally as Marc Bulger passed for 450 yards as the Rams beat the New York Jets in overtime 32-29 to reach the playoffs at 8-8. In the playoffs the Rams would face the Seahawks for a third time returning to Seattle, and once again pulling off the upset beating the Seahawks 27-20 to become the first 8-8 team to win a playoff game.

1950: The Rams set 22 offensive records rolling to a 9-3 record, which earned them a first place tie with Chicago Bears for the Western Division Championship. A high flying passing game with star recievers Tom Fears, and Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch keyed the Rams offensive power. The Rams failed to score 30 in only four of their 12 games that included a 70 point and 65 point performance in consecutive weeks. In the Division Championship the Rams got revenge for two earlier losses by beating the Bears 24-14 to advance to the NFL Championship Game. In the Championship Game the Rams returned to Cleveland to face the Browns. The Rams and Browns would battle back and forth all game before Lou Groza's late field goal gave the Browns a 30-28 win.
1988: The Rams jumped out of the gate by winning their first four games. After taking three of their next five the Rams sat in first place with a 7-2 record. However, four straight losses would send the Rams reeling out of first, and in danger of missing the postseason. However they would right their ship and would close the season with three wins to finish with a Wild Card spot with a 10-6 record. In the Wild Card game the Rams would lose to the Vikings 28-16.
